From a young age, Gregg was enchanted by beautiful works created by her artist mother, and she developed a deep appreciation for art forms of different genres, filled with vivid color, rich texture and interesting shapes. She pursued business studies in college, receiving her MBA in marketing, while continuing to develop her cultivated eye for recognizing artistic talent.

When Gregg moved to Atlanta in 1996, she recognized there was a void in the market for affordable, original contemporary art, so she set out to discover talented, emerging artists and foster their careers by introducing them to collectors at in-home pop-up shows throughout the Southeast. She married her passion for art with her background in business and began sourcing and representing artists from all over the country. Her mission was to connect collectors with art they would love and cherish for years to come and present it in a gracious and non-intimidating setting that encouraged guests to explore and discover.

The success of these shows led Gregg to open her first brick and mortar gallery in Atlanta in 2006. Now, more than 25 years later, Gregg Irby Gallery is recognized across the country as a leading contemporary fine art destination and exceptional source for curating highly sought after collections of original paintings and works on paper from established and emerging artists.

Our collections are colorful, approachable, and livable — mirroring our overall philosophy that original art should neither be distancing nor intimidating but made available to inspire us all.

We love to work with designers! Consider us your in-house art consultants, and whether you are purchasing from near or far, we aim to make the selection process seamless from design concept to delivery. For those able to visit the gallery in person, we encourage you to make yourself at home. Spread out your sea of swatches and memos & discover the perfect original art for your project. If purchasing from afar, our team is well versed in Photoshop & can virtually place artwork options into images of your client’s space for easy visualization. We are happy to ship paintings for trial before purchase & love to loan artwork for showhomes or photoshoots.
