get to know Blanche Quinn

Blanche Quinn lives in Columbia, SC & her love of art was instilled in her as a child and has thrived ever since. With vibrant colors and strong composition, each painting produces an inspiring and exciting effect.

Blanche attended Converse College where she focused on Fine Arts. She transferred to the University of South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Commercial Art. She has continued to learn and grow as an artist, having extensively studied various mediums, techniques and subjects. Originally a watercolorist, Blanche shifted to oils for its texture and versatility. She appreciates the flexibility offered by oils which she says “allows me to take my time as I paint, thinking about how I’m going to put my thoughts down. Oils give me more freedom to make changes at will.”
