get to know Thomasa Seymour

Thomasa Seymour is a working artist who lives in Atlanta. Since Thomasa graduated from SCAD in 1988, she has been pushing the boundaries with her painting techniques. Her abstract constructions are characterized by shifting patterns, beautiful muted colors, complicated textures, and ever-flowing overlapping patterns.

“I absolutely love to push paint around on the clean white surface of a new panel and create something new. I think about going into the studio as soon as I wake up, and I am the happiest there or in the garden. My paintings reflect my love of plants and natural colors and the two, along with my love of animals, make my world.”
